Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to purchases from DAO · ROOT at https://daoroot.com and your use of our website. “We,” “us,” and “our” refer to the company identified in the Contact Us section below.

Please read these terms before placing an order and retain a copy for your records. Our Refund and Returns Policy provides additional information about returns and cancellation. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law.

1. Shopping with Us

You must have the legal capacity to make a purchase and be authorised to use your chosen payment method. Please provide accurate contact, billing, and delivery information and check your selected products and variations before submitting an order.

You may shop as a guest or create an account where that option is available. If you create an account, keep your login details private and notify us if you suspect unauthorised access. You are not automatically responsible for activity caused by a security failure on our part.

2. Product Information

The description for each product identifies what is included in the purchase. Photographs may show styling items, multiple variations, or more than one product for comparison; these are included only where the listing expressly says so.

Please review materials, measurements, care instructions, and available variations. Minor differences in screen colour or photography do not change our obligation to supply goods that match their description. We will not use a general variation disclaimer to excuse a material difference or defect.

Where used, “gold-tone” and “silver-tone” describe appearance, not precious-metal content. Precious-metal content is included only where expressly stated in the product description. An adjustable item is not necessarily suitable for every size.

Descriptions of cultural references, traditions, or symbolism are provided for context. They are not promises of health benefits, protection, fortune, or other particular outcomes.

3. Prices and Payment

Prices are in United States dollars (USD), unless a different currency is expressly displayed. Available payment methods and the amount payable to us are shown at checkout.

Applicable delivery charges and taxes collected by us will be disclosed before you submit your order. For international orders, any applicable import charges not collected at checkout, and who is responsible for them, must also be disclosed before purchase. We will not add undisclosed optional charges without your agreement.

Your bank or payment provider may apply its own currency conversion or transaction charges. Contact that provider for details.

Price changes apply to future purchases and do not change the agreed price of an accepted order. If we identify a material pricing or listing error before accepting an order, we will contact you so you can choose whether to proceed with the corrected information or cancel for a refund of any payment collected. We will not substitute a product or increase an agreed price without your consent.

4. Orders and Acceptance

Submitting an order is an offer to purchase the selected goods. An automated message stating that we have received your order acknowledges receipt. We accept your order when we expressly confirm acceptance or dispatch the goods, whichever occurs first, unless applicable law provides otherwise.

Before acceptance, we may be unable to fulfil an order because an item is unavailable, payment cannot be verified, the address is outside our delivery coverage, or there is a reasonable concern about fraud or an unlawful transaction. We will notify you and promptly refund any payment collected for goods we cannot supply.

Once an order has been accepted, these terms do not give us an unrestricted right to cancel it. Any cancellation or other resolution must comply with the contract and applicable law.

5. Delivery

Orders are dispatched from China. Delivery availability, charges, and the applicable estimated or agreed delivery timeframe will be provided before purchase. We do not promise delivery to every country or address.

Please check your delivery address carefully and contact us promptly if it needs correction. We will try to accommodate changes, but a parcel already dispatched may not be redirectable. Any proposed additional delivery charge must be explained and agreed where required by law.

If your order is delayed, lost, or arrives damaged, contact us at [email protected]. We will investigate and provide an appropriate resolution. Carrier or customs delays do not remove your statutory rights concerning delivery or cancellation.

Where we arrange delivery, we remain responsible for the goods until you or your nominated recipient takes physical possession, subject to any applicable legal rules for a carrier you independently appoint. A tracking update does not by itself override your right to dispute non-delivery.

6. Cancellation, Returns, and Refunds

Except where required by applicable law, we do not offer voluntary change-of-mind returns or exchanges, including where you prefer a different colour or style or select an unsuitable size when the product information was accurate.

This does not exclude remedies for faulty, damaged, incorrect, or misdescribed goods, or any statutory right to cancel a distance purchase. Contact us promptly about a problem so we can assess it and arrange the remedy required in the circumstances.

Where EU or UK distance-selling cancellation rules apply, you generally have 14 days after receiving the goods to notify us that you wish to cancel, followed by a further 14 days to send them back. Selecting a standard size, colour, or style does not by itself make an item custom-made. A valid statutory cancellation does not require our approval.

For such a cancellation, we refund the payments required by law, including the least expensive standard outbound delivery option we offered. We may withhold the refund until we receive the goods or evidence of return, whichever occurs first, where legally permitted. You bear direct change-of-mind return costs only where this was disclosed before purchase and applicable law allows it.

See our Refund and Returns Policy for the full procedure and applicable exceptions. Contact us for the correct return address; the sender address on a parcel may belong to a logistics provider. Neither requesting instructions nor any store procedure limits your statutory rights or extends a statutory deadline.

If you wish to change or cancel an order before dispatch, contact us as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee that a requested change can be made, but this does not restrict any statutory cancellation right.

7. Website Content and Acceptable Use

Our branding, original text, and other website content belong to us or their respective rights holders. You may browse the website, share product links, and save information for personal shopping purposes. Other reproduction or commercial use requires permission unless permitted by law.

Do not use the website for fraud, unlawful activity, malicious software, unauthorised access, or interference with other customers’ use of the store.

If you submit a product review, it should reflect your own experience and must not disclose another person’s private information or infringe their rights. You retain ownership of your submission and allow us to display it in connection with the relevant product and store. We may remove unlawful, abusive, spam, or irrelevant content; a review is not removed merely because it is negative.

8. Third-Party Services and Privacy

Payments, delivery, and certain website functions may involve third-party providers. Separate terms may apply to your direct use of their services. Their involvement does not remove our responsibilities to you as the seller.

Our Privacy Policy explains the personal information we collect, why it is used, and how to contact us about privacy rights. External websites linked from our store operate under their own terms and privacy practices.

9. Our Responsibilities

We are responsible for fulfilling our contractual obligations and for loss or damage for which applicable law makes us responsible. We do not exclude liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence where such exclusion is prohibited, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted website availability. If an interruption affects an order, contact us so we can help resolve it. This does not exclude responsibility for failures for which we are legally liable.

10. Complaints and Applicable Law

If you have a complaint, email [email protected] with your order number, a description of the issue, and the resolution you are seeking. We will review it and respond as promptly as reasonably possible.

Applicable law determines the law and courts governing a dispute. Nothing in these terms deprives you of mandatory protections or rights to bring proceedings in your country of residence where those rights apply. Contacting us does not prevent you from using available legal remedies.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms for future purchases. The date at the top identifies the current version. An update will not retrospectively change the terms of an existing order without your agreement, unless required by law.

If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. No provision should be interpreted as waiving mandatory consumer rights.

12. Contact Us

For questions about these terms or an order, email [email protected].
